Introduction
to Massage (100 Hours)
As
the first 100 hours of the Level I Professional Program, this course provides
an introduction to the fundamentals of massage therapy including skills of listening,
sensitivity of touch, presence and the ability to respond to individual needs.
Upon successful completion, students will have learned how to give a full-body
massage. This is not offered as a professional training but as a gateway for
those wanting to explore their interest in massage with the possibility of continuing
their studies and completing a professional program. This course can also be
valuable for health and personal care providers such as nurses, estheticians,
in-home care providers, hospice workers, personal trainers and others desiring
to learn valuable tools for assisting others on their journey toward health
and wholeness.
